I enjoy using pre-made teas since they are often convenient, but at times if your like me, and love making your own tea and natural recipes, just grab some fresh leaves to make your own tea at home!

Home made Herbal Tea Recipes

Breathe Easy

  • 1 part licorice root
  • 1 part eucalyptus leaf (Not to be used by pregnant women or children)
  • 1 part fennel seed
  • 1/2 part each of the following: peppermint leaf, calendula flower, thyme, ginger

Mix all of the ingredients together. Steep 1 tablespoon (15ml) in a cup of water.

Smooth Move:

  • 4 parts senna leaf
  • 1/3 part each of the following: licorice root, fennel seed, sweet orange peel, cinnamon, coriander seed, ginger

Mix all of the ingredients together. Steep 1 tablespoon (15ml) in a cup of water. The senna leaf is the active ingredient. The other ingredients help to prevent cramping. This tea is for occasional constipation only and should not be used for longer than two weeks.

Throat Coat

  • 4 parts licorice root
  • 1/2 part each of the following: slippery elm bark (or marshmallow root), wild cherry bark, fennel seed, cinnamon, sweet orange peel

Mix all of the ingredients together. Steep 1 tablespoon (15ml) in a cup of water.

Red Raspberry Leaf Tea

  • Use a ratio of 1 Tbs of loose leaf red raspberry leaf tea (or 1 tea bag) and 1 cup of boiling water.
  • Pour boiling water over leaves and steep for 10-15 minutes.
  • Strain the tea and drink.

Warm Coconut Red Raspberry Leaf Tea Recipe

  • Follow the recipe for basic red raspberry leaf tea.
  • Add 1/4 cup of coconut milk and 1 TB of raw honey and stir well.
  • Sip slowly and enjoy this warm, comforting treat.

“Sweet Tea” Recipe

  • Take 4 tablespoons of loose red raspberry leaf (or 4 tea bags) and place in 1 quart Mason jar.
  • Boil 4 cups of filtered water and add to your tea. Let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes. Strain tea or remove tea bags.
  • Let the tea cool off a bit and then add 2 TB of raw honey, preferably manuka for added immunity. 
  • Put in refrigerator and let cool. Add the juice of two lemons to your cold tea and mix well. Drink 2 cups a day.

Raspberry Orange Cooler Recipe

This delicious recipe is great for summertime!

  • Take 4 tablespoons of loose red raspberry leaf (or 4 tea bags) and place in 1 quart Mason jar.
  • Boil 4 cups of filtered water and add to your tea.
  • Let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Strain tea or remove tea bags.
  • Let the tea cool off a bit and then add 2 TB of raw manuka honey.
  • Put in refrigerator until use.
  • With each cup serving, add 1/4 cup of fresh orange juice and a wedge of orange for added vitamins, minerals and refreshment.

This recipe is great for winter season especially. It’s delish!

4oz Water
4 oz Unsweetened Oak Milk
1 tbsp Red Raspberry Leaf Tea (organic)
1/2-1 tbsp honey (depending on desired sweetness)
hefty shake of ground cinnamon

Bring water, oat milk and honey all together to a boil and whisk throughout. Then pour into your extra large mug, add tea holder of red raspberry leaf tea and let steep for 10 or so minutes. Top with ground cinnamon, give it one more whisk and enjoy!
